PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY
PREAMBLE
The Personal Data Protection Policy covers and concerns the conditions for the collection and management of the personal data of readers / visitors / users / members by THERMIT, during the visit and use of its services and property pages. THERMIT is the owner, creator and beneficiary of all the rights of their pages and services, as well as the Data Processor of any data declared by their visitors / users.
This policy / contract, in no way covers the legal relationship between the visitors / users of the pages and any other services, which are not subject to the control and / or ownership of THERMIT.
1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies only to pages owned and managed by THERMIT and does not apply to information collected through any other website or practices of other companies that THERMIT does not control.
The pages may include links to other websites which are not controlled by THERMIT but by third parties (natural or legal persons). In no case is THERMIT responsible for the terms of protection of the Personal Data of visitors / users, which are adopted and applied by these entities.
2. PERSONAL DATA ARCHIVE POLICY
For the simple browsing of THERMIT pages, no personal information of the visitor/user is collected.
The use by THERMIT of the personal data of the visitors / users takes place exclusively and solely for the purpose of informing and supporting the users during the operation of the services to which they subscribe, the satisfaction of their respective requirements, as well as informing them regarding the promotion of new services.
The above information may be requested for the registration of the visitor/user in the mailing list for the sending by THERMIT of the website newsletters. Also, when sending the registration form to THERMIT, the IP address of the visitor/user is also collected, as well as a cookie is sent to the user’s computer.
The pages provide their visitors / users with the possibility to delete their personal details and information at any time, to correct and update them or to deactivate their registration.
A page collects personal data when the visitor / user:
A. subscribe to its services,
B. uses its services and
C. visits its pages.
In particular, the technical ways in which personal data of users are collected when using the services of the pages are as follows:
3. METHODS OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
a. Personal data that can be requested from the page.
When the visitor / user uses certain functions of the pages, such as when registering for certain services, accessing certain content or functions or when communicating directly with a page or service, various information may be requested from him, such as the following:
– contact information, such as name, email address, postal address, telephone number and mobile phone number,
– username and password,
– information posted in community discussions and other interactive online features;
– search queries conducted on the page and
– correspondence sent to THERMIT through the page.
b. Information collected automatically during the visit and interaction of the visitor/user with the page:
When the visitor / user visits and interacts with the page, and in this way certain information may be collected automatically, such as: – the Internet Protocol (IP) address of his computer,
– browser type and operating system,
– the websites visited immediately before and after visiting the page,
– activities within community discussions,
– websites and advertisements he sees and links he ‘clicks’ on within the page,
– the speed of his connection and information about the software programs installed on his computer,
– aggregated data on email click-through and user video viewing rates,
– basic server connection information and
– information collected through HTML cookies, Flash cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies.
c. Information may be collected from other sources:
Through the use of the Single Page Services, information about visitors / users may be accessed from third-party sources and platforms (such as social networking sites, databases, online marketing and advertising targeting companies), which include:
– if the visitor / user gains access to third-party social networking services (such as Facebook Connect or Twitter) through the page, their username and connection lists for said services,
– demographic data, such as age group, gender and interests,
– interactions with ads and viewing data such as click-through rates and information about how many times a particular ad has been viewed,
– unique identifiers, including mobile device identification numbers, which can identify the physical location of such devices in accordance with applicable law.
Note that the site may combine information collected directly with information obtained from third-party sources.
4. FUNNELING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA.
a. THERMIT strictly adheres to the Greek legislation on Personal Data Storage. The data declared and collected in the above cases are not disclosed to third parties and in no way are they made public or exploited by THERMIT.
b. THERMIT undertakes not to sell, rent or in any way publish and/or communicate the personal data of visitors/users to any third party.
c. THERMIT may transfer the personal data of visitors / users to third parties exclusively and only in the following cases:
– As long as it has the express consent of visitors / users for the channeling of their personal data, which is presumed to be given when the visitor / user registers as a member of one of THERMIT’s owned Websites and does not submit an objection request, as above.
– In the event that the channeling of the personal data of visitors / users to third parties that collaborate with THERMIT property pages becomes necessary for the implementation of user requests. The third parties (natural or legal persons) who cooperate with THERMIT owned websites have the right to process the personal data that the visitors / users of the pages submit to them only to the extent that is absolutely necessary to provide support for the services in question .
– As long as the channeling of personal information is required by law and exclusively to the competent authorities. d. THERMIT may also, for the purpose of statistical analysis, and in order to collect information about how its pages and services are used, keep in an aggregated form and analyze the data collected, in order to improve the functionality of the pages and services and to better shape their content and design.
5. SPECIAL CASES OF USE OF PERSONAL DATA
a. Communications by electronic mail (e-mail)
With the consent of the visitor/user, the personal information collected may be used in order to send him (the user) communication material by e-mail, such as updates to main articles, information about his account or changes to the page he visits and, with his consent, advertising messages for THERMIT products and services or for products and services of its marketing partners.
In the event that the visitor / user subscribes to one of THERMIT’s e-mail newsletters, he will also be sent the newsletter he requested.
b. Communications via mobile devices
With the visitor’s/user’s consent, their mobile phone number may also be used to send them promotional messages, updates or other services.
c. Electronic Commerce Services (e-commerce)
For the use of the e-commerce services of hatziscollection.gr, the following information is requested from the visitor / user: Name / Company Name – Address of a natural person / Company headquarters – Postal Code – Telephone – E-mail – Fax – VAT number – DOU – City – Country – Credit Card Details. The above data are also required for the issuance of the relevant documents (tax) and are kept in THERMIT’s financial file. THERMIT can use – process the data collected during user transactions in order to record the buyer’s purchasing interests and make new offers, unless the user of these services requests that such offers not be made. The data concerning the purchasing interests of the visitor / user may never be disclosed to third parties except for the exceptions expressly mentioned in this contract.
6. COOKIES
The pages can use cookies for the proper functioning of their services and pages. Cookies are small text files (in .txt format) that are sent and stored on the hard drive of each visitor/user’s computer, as long as the latter has chosen to accept cookies. Cookies are used only to facilitate the access of the visitor/user to specific services of the pages, as well as for statistical reasons in order to determine the areas in which the services of the pages are useful or popular.
The visitor / user can set his server (browser) in such a way, so that it either warns him (the user) about the use of cookies in specific services of the pages, or does not allow the acceptance of the use of cookies under any circumstances. In case the visitor / user does not wish to use cookies for his identification, he cannot have further access to these services.
7. IP ADDRESSES
The IP address is determined by the provider of the connection through which the visitor / user has access to the internet and subsequently to the Website. The IP address is reserved for technical reasons, as well as to deal with issues related to the security of the pages’ systems (server, data base, network, etc.). The access IP address of the visitor/user may be disclosed by THERMIT, if this is requested by the competent police or judicial or other state authorities, always following the procedure prescribed by law.
8. USER CHOICES
a. THERMIT does not have access to or control the cookies of advertisers or service providers, and the information practices of third parties are not covered by this privacy policy.
9. ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA
THERMIT gives users the right to delete their personal data, correct and/or update their personal data and/or deactivate their registration, at any time, simply by visiting the relevant THERMIT service.
In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, he must send proof of his identity with his request and will receive a response within thirty (30) days of receipt of the request.
10. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY
Access to visitor/user contact information is limited to employees or service providers who reasonably have a need to know that information to provide products or services to visitors/users or to perform their jobs. Technical, physical and administrative procedures have also been adopted that are appropriate to protect information concerning Users from loss, misuse and alteration.

11. MINORS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE
Users of the pages who are minors are not allowed to access their services, which may be considered inappropriate for minors and which cannot be controlled by THERMIT. In each section or service that may contain inappropriate / offensive / immoral material there is a warning to visitors / users. In the event that nevertheless minor users voluntarily visit pages with inappropriate / offensive / immoral material and which cannot be continuously controlled, THERMIT bears no responsibility.
THERMIT does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. If it finds that it has collected any personal information from a minor under the age of 18 without verifiable parental consent, it will delete the information from its database as soon as possible.
12. APPLICABLE LAW
The management and protection of the personal data of the visitor / user of the services of THERMIT pages is subject to the terms of this policy and the relevant provisions of the Greek legislation (Law 2472/1997) on the protection of personal data, as amended and in force today and has been supplemented by the decisions of the President of the Personal Data Protection Committee and the other relevant legislative acts in this context, any possible relevant regulation will constitute a modification of the present in terms of the specific scope of application.
In any case, THERMIT reserves the right to modify the terms of this personal data protection policy, within the existing or possibly new legal framework, after relevant information to the visitors / users. The use of the services of the pages implies the full and unconditional acceptance of the present terms.
In the event that a visitor / user does not agree with the terms of protection of personal data provided herein, he must not use the services of the pages.
SECURE TRANSACTIONS
THERMIT uses the SSL protocol on its websites, with 128-bit encryption (the most powerful today), for secure online commercial transactions.
This encrypts all your personal information, including your credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read or changed in transit over the Internet. The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol is today the global standard on the Internet for certifying websites to web users and for encrypting information between web users and web servers.
An encrypted SSL communication requires that all information sent between a client and a server be encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by the receiving software, thus protecting personal information in transit.
In addition, all information sent with the SSL protocol is protected by a mechanism that automatically checks if the data has been changed in transit.
